A Mobile Check-In That’s Up to Brand Standards
Before Canary, Beaumier's pre-arrival check-in process wasn't designed with the modern guest in mind. Travelers checking in on their phones were met with a static web experience that felt disconnected from the premium service they expected. Canary transformed that interaction with a mobile-first check-in that starts every stay off with ease.
“We’re always trying to create a seamless journey, starting from the initial communication to the actual in-house experience,” Gabriel said. “Canary helped us streamline that experience in a way that felt much more aligned with our brand.”
Turning OTA Guests Into Repeat Bookings
Like many hotel groups, Beaumier relies on online travel agencies (OTAs) for a significant share of bookings. But OTA reservations often arrive with limited guest information, making it difficult to continue the relationship after checkout. Canary lets Beaumier capture guest email addresses during registration, giving its marketing team the information needed to communicate with guests and encourage repeat stays.
“Guest data lets us engage guests directly,” Gabriel said. “That’s one of the biggest advantages from a marketing perspective.”
Simplifying Deposits for Guests and Reservation Teams
Many Beaumier reservations require deposits, but the payment process previously involved multiple manual steps across different systems. With Canary's Payment Links, guests complete deposits via one link and payments are automatically synced to the PMS, eliminating manual reconciliation and saving time.
“The consolidation of systems saves reservation agents so much time,” Diederik said. “It makes taking deposits so much easier for guests and staff.”
Better Arrival Planning at a Unique Property
Some Beaumier properties had to solve unique problems you won't find anywhere else. At Grand Hotel Belvedere, for example, guests must take a train, then a shuttle, to reach the hotel — meaning accurate arrival times are essential for staffing logistics. Because guests can now submit their expected arrival time via Canary’s Mobile Check-In before reaching the hotel, staff have better visibility into the day's arrivals and can easily communicate if travel plans change.
“It allows us to make operational adjustments and prepare for the day, down to break times,” Beatrice said. “If a guest does not arrive at the specified time, we can easily message to get their updated arrival time. Operationally, it’s very, very useful.”
Building a Long-Term Technology Partnership
For Beaumier, choosing a guest engagement platform wasn't just about adding new technology. It was about finding a partner that could support a growing international portfolio. Throughout implementation, Canary worked alongside the Beaumier team to navigate country-specific payment requirements, tailor the guest experience to each property's brand and optimize integrations across its technology stack.
“We always had direct access to the specialists,” Diederik said. “There was always someone on hand, whether it was branding, troubleshooting or technical support.”
